Wilkie is a small town situated in west-central Saskatchewan, approximately 160 kilometers west of Saskatoon and 60 kilometers southeast of North Battleford. Wilkie has a history of being a railway town, as the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) passed through the area, facilitating its growth. The Scott Dam was constructed in the early 20th century The history of this hidden gem and beautiful little fishing hole is the Scott Reservoir was man made to fuel the steam engines for the Canadian National Railway.
